The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th of the first

month of the lunar calendar（阴历）. This day is always

the first full moon in the new year. Ancient people also

called it Shangyuan Festival. Celebrations and traditions

英文书面表达是中考试卷中的最后一部分内容，分值设置通常为十到十五分。它考查考生的英语表达能力，看是否能够运用学过的英语知识和掌握的技能进行思想交流。通常，该题对写作的目的、内容、体裁及字数都有明确的要求，会提供一些材料，如文字、图画和图表。因此，中考英语书面表达题不同于汉语写作，做到以下几点即可：审清题目要求，能读懂题；组织好所提供的材料；连词成句，连句成篇，用明白、通顺、恰当、得体的英语表达出来。毕竟是初级写作，篇幅和难度方面要求并不高。

写作的过程应当是有计划、有步骤地展开。可以把这一过程划分为三部曲，即写作前、写作中、写作后。

一、写作前

不可急于动笔，要先审题，列出要点，写出提纲。接下来，脑海中确定文章的体裁与时态。初中阶段所接触的体裁主要有：记叙文、应用文、议论文及说明文。其中，应用文又包括信件、电子邮件文稿、寻物启示、失物招领、请假条、留言条、通知等不同的形式，这些都是生活中常用的。至于时态，要依据表达的内容来灵活应用。初中阶段较常用的主要时态有：一般现在时、一般过去时和一般将来时。其他时态多为必要时穿插使用。平时有必要积累一些有代表性的，与生活贴近的文章，用以参考。
