美国大学2016秋季入学的申请正在如火如荼地进行，2016年SAT考试的改革使得许多美国名校也调整了入学要求。
哈佛大学、耶鲁大学、宾夕法尼亚大学、普林斯顿大学、康奈尔大学、布朗大学等常春藤名校，不再要求申请者必须提交SAT 2(学科测试)成绩;宾夕法尼亚大学、康奈尔大学不强制要求学生参加新SAT的写作考试，而乔治华盛顿大学则加入可选择考试(Test-Optional)的大学行列，不再强制要求申请学生提交SAT或ACT考试成绩。
不过需要注意的是，申请耶鲁大学2016年入学仍然使用旧SAT考试的成绩，2017年之后的申请可以提交新SAT、ACT或者旧SAT考试成绩中的任意一种，但必须提供作文成绩。
据悉，新SAT考试将于2016年3月举行，新SAT考试的作文要求不再是以往根据一个主题写一篇表达自我观点的议论文，而是分析给定的文章的论点并且说明作者如何构建这个论点来说服读者;同时考试时间也从25分钟增加到50分钟。
专家认为，SAT作文的改革更加贴近美国教育，对中国学生而言是一个挑战，“中国学生擅长在考试中运用成熟的案例和数据来证明自己的观点，但是改革后的作文考试则考察学生的逻辑能力以及分析概括能力，面对同样的材料，学生都是临场思考，
同时也避免了学生考前押题以及通过运用准备好的成熟例子来获得高分的情况出现。”
专家分析，学校调整入学要求充分从另一个角度说明了申请难度的提高。近年来中国学生语言考试的成绩很不错，当这种标准化考试不足以来甄别学生个人实力的时候，学校就会降低这一项在评价体系的比重，增加其他项目的重要性，尤其是可以体现学生个人思维能力、实践能力以及社交能力等能力的项目，试图多维度考察一个学生全面发展的情况。
如何突围?
面对名校入学要求的新变化，专家建议，学生一方面要提升自己的学术成绩以及各种考试成绩的硬性条件，另一方面注重丰富自己的社会经历，结合自己的个性和优势，选取有价值的活动。“也许你的领导能力并不出色，但是可能你的绘画水平很高，或者你有很强的时尚感，挖掘自己的优势，然后找相关的活动去参加，这样的社会实践才有价值。否则盲目地参加一些大同小异的活动只会让自己变得雷同，这样的简历不具备实际竞争力。充分展现自信，这在美国教育中一直是鼓励的。”

报名建议：
1、大考场考位充足，像亚博馆这样的考场，基本不用担心抢不到考位，只是一些小考场考位紧张;
2、亚洲考场“安全系数”都差不多，日本韩国考场出现问题的可能性不比香港低，小考场出现问题的几率更高，所以，为了降低成绩被取消或者延迟风险，没必要刻意选择日本，韩国，新加坡等考场，还是以自己方便为第一原则;
3、计划申请EA/ED的同学，尽可能选择10月份考试，因为新SAT考试落地后，CB为了防止作弊和盗题现象，每次的出分时间都不固定，5月7号的考试6月15号出分，6月4号的考试7月21才能出分，所以如果报11月的SAT考试，可能会影响EA/ED申请。
4、认真填写报名资料，以免出现问题被拒或者转考。
5、提前准备一张国际信用卡。
香港考位的相关常识
1.香港地区的考位(除了ShaTinCollege沙田学院和City University of Hong Kong城市大学以外)都是由香港考试及评核局HKEAA负责，考生可以上
2.香港考试及评核局HKEAA每次只放1个SAT考场和1个SAT2考场，等该考场的考位快报满时才放出新的考场和考位;
3.考生想要报名新SAT考试，需要登录College Board 的官网之后才能进行相关的操作，当考生完成报考手续后，准考证便会随即发放，可登入网站打印准考证;
4.如需转考，必须在考试日两个星期前的星期三或以前，致电 College Board 办理，从去年开始香港SAT的各个考场都不接受当天的standby了，所以大家如果想要进行相关的操作就只能提前申请。
