一年级的小学生初次接触英语，他们有着好奇心和极强的求知欲望，但是他们注意力集中的时间短，如何让学生们在有效地学习时间内高效地掌握并运用所学语言知识呢？除了高效的课堂外，一个很重要的途径就是设计充实有效而丰富多彩的作业。

一、口头作业的布置

1、模仿、录音

学习语言的目的是为了交际,而“说”则是最直接的交际手段。小学英语教学的目标之一是培养学生正确的语音语调，而语音语调的培养是从不断的朗读中潜移默化而来的，更少不了反复地听录音。但反复机械地听很容易使学生厌倦。如果让学生听课文磁带，积极地模仿录音，最后把自己最满意的朗读录下来交老师评判，他们就会不厌其烦地听和练，效果出奇得好。

2、互动、表演

新课程倡导互动式课堂教学模式，提倡开放的学习方式，鼓励学生创造性地运用语言。由于英语课堂教学的大部分时间是用于语言实践活动，所以师生之间不仅仅是教与学的关系，还应该是朋友关系。除了与教师互动外，学生还要与同伴、与父母互动。开始时，有的学生不够大胆，说的英语断断续续，这时教师可以反复鼓励他们要勇敢地说下去。几个星期下来，学生演讲的内容渐渐丰富了，过去那种在讲台上紧张、胆小的现象也会变得少见。此外，教师还可以充分调动家长的力量，督促学生学习英语，鼓励学生用英语与家长进行简单的日常交流，并饶有兴趣地充当Little teacher的角色，真正达到学以致用的目的。在这样的交流中，成功的喜悦自然会增强学生学习英语的兴趣，提高他们的口语交际能力，更有利于学生综合素质的发展。

二、书面作业的布置

小学英语低段学生的课外作业是以听力、口语作业为主，但也可布置一些具有实践性、趣味性的作业，让学生乐于完成英语作业，并在完成作业的过程中，达到复习巩固和运用延伸的效果。

1、找一找

为了使英语学习贴近学生的生活，我们根据学生的生理和心理特点，设计了“找一找”的作业，即让学生充分利用身边资源，通过电视、广播和互联网等渠道，增加信息的输入量，丰富学生的英语知识。平时可经常布置学生到现实生活中去学习英语知识，做一个学习的有心人。学生兴趣很大，几乎每个人都能自觉去完成。他们能找到的食品名称有：hot dog（热狗），hamburger（汉堡包），pizza（比萨饼）等；饮料名称有：Robust（乐百氏），Coca Cola（可口可乐），Sprite（雪碧）等；商品名称有：Jeans West（真维斯），Nike（耐克），等；还有各种卡通人物如：Mickey Mouse（米老鼠），Donald Duck（唐老鸭），Snow White（白雪公主）等。

通过这一作业，学生为自己能发现并学到这么多身边的课外英语而十分欣喜。苏霍姆林斯基说：“成功的欢乐是一种巨大的精神力量，它可以促进儿童好好学习的愿望。”

2、画一画

爱因斯坦说过：“教育应使提供的东西让学生作为一种宝贵的礼物来享受，而不是作为一种艰苦的任务要他们负担。”孩子年龄小，都喜欢涂涂画画。根据这一特点，我们就特意设计了回家画一画的作业。如：在学完小动物单词后让学生回家边画小动物图片写英语单词边用英语讲。

3、做一做

在“任务型教学”中，教师可以设计制作类作业，让学生享受I can do it in English！的乐趣。制作类作业既可以让学生复习和强化所学知识，变机械学习为有意义的学习，又培养了学生的动手能

力、审美情趣，体现了学科间的相互渗透，从而培养了学生的语言综合运用能力。如要求学生利用儿童节、教师节、母亲节、圣诞节等中西方的传统节日，让学生自己制作英语贺卡，写上真诚的祝福，送给自己喜欢的人。学生们兴致高昂，不仅运用了书上的祝福语，而且还摘录简单的一些祝福语，如“Happy New Year !”等。甚至老师也可以借用学生制作的图片作为教具。当老师借用某个学生制作的图片时，试想一下那个学生的心情有多激动。

总之，小学阶段的英语教学处于启蒙时期，其教学目的在于激发学生的英语学习兴趣，培养学生学英语的积极态度，使他们初步建立学习英语的自信心。因此，教师在布置家庭作业时，按照《英语课程标准》的理念，围绕教学目的和教学要求，结合科学的理论依据，让学生动口、动手、动脑，拓展视野，从听做、说唱、玩演、读写、视听等多角度、多方位、想象和创新意识等多种能力出发，发展学生思维、想象力、创新精神等综合素质，巧妙设计形式多样的英语作业，让课外作业成为每个学生和教师间心与心的对话，使小学英语家庭作业布置更具合理性、有效性。
